Access for developing swimmers to compete at Level 3/Development Meets will be restricted from the 1st of July to only registered and fully financial competitive swimmers in the SNZ database. This will exclude recreational swimmers and learn to swim who currently have access to Level 3/Development Meets.
The Development/Level 3 meet is the grassroots of our sport, and it is where our swimmers begin their competitive pathway.
Swimming Auckland has challenged Swimming New Zealand on this change in policy, and has requested a swimmer and meet category so that we can continue with the current structure.
